Cops Slander Disabled Pot Activist After Eating Pot Brownies

Imagine this… a group of masked and armed cops break into your business and then disable the video cameras. Then they plunder your store and help themselves to your products all while slamming your customers. Sounds crazy? Well this is exactly what happened last month in Santa Ana, California. The officers burst into a medical marijuana dispensary and then disabled the camera system. Apparently they thought they would be able to avoid video footage of the event. Unfortunately for them cameras caught them suggesting violent action against a disabled patient.

The raid took place last month and during the process the cops forgot about one single camera. This was the camera that caught everything on tape. During the hostile entry the cops consumed several edible marijuana products and then joked about harming an amputee. Jokes were made about kicking the amputee in her “nub.”

The camera was able to show that after the cops disabled all the security cameras, (they thought) they approached the counter and began to eat many edible products. One officer can be heard asking what the flavor in question was.

Yet the most disturbing aspect of the film has to be the moment a female officer is seen and heard talking about how much she dislikes Marla James. Mrs. James is a marijuana activist and also a medical marijuana user. She is an amputee that is confined to a wheelchair.

Apparently the shakedown occurred because the police have been told that there can only be 20 dispensary units in the town. James and her husband where there because they received word that a bust was coming.

“When they came back into the back room where David and I were, they asked us why we were there, and I told them we were there to observe them, the police,” James said. “And they were really surprised about that.”

When James mentioned that they had received a tip from city attorney Sonia Carvalho they acted very surprised and as if they had no idea who that was. “They had no idea, and it made them seem kind of stupid and maybe that’s why they got mad,” she added.

Added James regarding the verbal violence threat, “You know what, I was really nice to that woman,” James said. “I even complimented her on her hair. I treated that woman with respect, and I have no idea why she wanted to kick my stump.”

Commander Chris Revere led this troop of police officers and he stated that the video could have been doctored. He also stated that he was unable to determine if the police officers in question actually consumed the marijuana products. Don’t you think a simple drug test is in order?
