A lot of vapers really don’t want to deal with the hassle of a huge desktop vaporizer, but they still want the great performance that those powerful models provide. If you can relate, then you will probably love the Pax by Ploom. This is a small portable vaporizer that can fit in your pocket, but it offers satisfying vapor clouds and stellar performance. I have tried a lot of portable models in the past, but the Pax is still one of my favorites for daily use.

I think the major benefit of the Pax is its small size. It’s only four inches long so it’s really discreet and can easily hide in your desk drawer or purse. But even with such a small size, it is made to last and I’ve found that my Pax is really durable. There is a magnetized lid on the bottom to keep your herbs securely in place and the mouthpiece pops out on the top when you are ready to vape. The design is very intuitive and it doesn’t take long to get the hang of vaping with the Pax.

For best results, you should use finely ground herbs and pack them tightly. Once your herbs are in place, just press the mouthpiece down and the vaporizer will automatically activate. There is a little star-shaped indicator light that glows purple while it’s heating up. When it changes to green, the Pax is heated up and ready to go. To adjust your temperature settings, just take off the mouthpiece and look for the small lighted button. You can press it to cycle through low, medium, and high heat settings. I prefer the highest heat setting and never change it, but it’s nice to have that option if you want to tweak your temperature.

Ploom did a great job at making the Pax totally intuitive. It even has a built in motion sensor! When you set your vaporizer down, it will automatically lower the heat level, but when you pick it up, it turns back up within seconds. Checking your battery level is simple too. Just shake the Pax and the indicator light will blink to show you your battery charge. If it’s green, you are still charged, but if it blinks red, the battery is running low.

Overall, the Pax is a great portable vaporizer because it comfortable and discreet. If you prefer using dry herbs, this small unit is really a winning choice. It’s easy to easy, simple to clean, and provides a completely satisfying vape.
